About Katherine

Welcome to the website of Katherine Griffiths, a Pontefract-based author and freelance writer. Katherine is a proud proud veteran of the Royal Tank Regiment and the 1991 Gulf War, Katherine Griffiths as always been passionate about the military and holds a particular fondness and respect for those who served during the perilous times of world war 2. A former motorsports marshal, Katherine now works as a motorcycle instructor. When she's not introducing people to the fundamentals of motorcycling she can often be found at various 1940's events across the UK, demonstrating her wealth of knowledge on the subject, especially on the activities and tools of the trade of those she holds with the highest esteem, the SOE - Special Operations Executive. The unit set-up by Prime Minister Winston Churchill to "set Europe ablaze". She also enjoys writing about the adventures of Harvey which is a friends beagle. The Adventures of Harvey the Beagle is her debut book. She is in the process of publishing her debut full-length novel Operation Gamekeeper which is about an all-female SOE circuit operating in occupied France. if you require some writing for an article, please email me via the contact box
